TritonClick
Class project
Project Overview: iClickers are an important commodity among all UCSD students, however most are bought via the Facebook group, which is very unorganized and posts get outdated. We wanted to create a dedicated space that was easy to list, filter, and message users. Our team designed an e-commerce app using React Native and Firebase to help sell and rent iClicker controllers. Since we were primarily targeting this to first-years who were unfamiliar with iClickers, we included a price trends section based on research so users were aware of when best to buy and sell.
Outcome: I learned a lot from this project, both as a coder and as a team member. Unlike my design work, working on an Agile team was filled with documentation and researching a new coding language. As a Senior System Analyst, I relied on a lot of my design knowledge to develop the project early on. I believe my biggest takeaway was that the scope of the project was too specific, and didn’t interest many of the seniors in my class when we presented it.
