Missing Ingredient
codepath project
Project Overview: College students who are learning to manage their food with other expenses may end up with not enough or excess food. UCSD has a very good food network to support students, but our group wanted to create a food network amongst the students to also foster relationships with their neighbors. Students in Missing Ingredient would post offers or requests of their food and message those who directly reply to them.
Outcome: After six weeks of development, the app was presented in front of the other Codepath teams that term. Due to tight time constraints and our novice team, we were unable to fully implement the messaging and point system. However I learned valuable lessons in app development, like how to store and retrieve data from Firebase as well as create reusable forms in Xcode.
